Brandi Copeland - Librarian

John Swett has a beautiful library that houses 11,000 plus books for students, staff, and parent use. It is staffed by a library media assistant who is available during school hours and meets with each class on a weekly basis.

Library books are loaned to students free of charge.  However, students are responsible for lost or damaged books.  Parents are urged to promote appropriate responsible behaviors in regards to the use of library materials.  Books must be returned undamaged, clean and by the due date.  Borrowing books from the library is a privilege.  Students who abuse the privilege will not be allowed to check-out materials.

The John Swett library utilizes Accelerated Reader reading improvement program.  Accelerated Reader promotes student reading growth through diagnostic assessment; the program aligns with No Child Left Behind Act's Reading First Initiative.  Below are links for the AR quizzes that John Swett currently has.  The lists are broken down by title of book, author and book level.
