Enrichment Classes - Fall 2017

Image of the Enrichment Programs logo.

Enrichment classes offer John Swett Elementary students the opportunity to explore, create, and learn after school with other students across grade levels.  The PTA has coordinated these unique classes as an inspirational and powerful way for students to develop new interests or build on developing skills – and cultivate friendships with schoolmates outside of their individual classrooms. Classes are taught by a variety of teachers, community members, and business owners.  Enrichment classes are offered in Fall, Winter, and Spring sessions.

This art program taught by experienced art teacher Becky Mellot uses a variety of mediums & techniques. All Fired Up’s specialty and most popular project is Ceramics, but that doesn’t stop me from mixing it up during these sessions. I want our students to dabble in the arts and to do that they need hands on experience and lots of choices. Classes may include Mosaics, Decoupage, Warm Glass, Clay Building, Canvas Painting, Drawing, Mixed Media Layering & Much More. I like to incorporate Specialty Projects that the children wouldn’t necessarily be able to experience at home or in school. Children enjoy creating & learning but best of all they are proud of what they have accomplished.
