Wow, it is hard to believe that we are winding down another school year!

Please join me in congratulating the fabulous group of PTA officers elected at our April meeting:

President – Jena Odiorne

Executive VP – Traci Lavino

Treasurer – Vana Tran

Secretary – Carrie Poole

VP, Membership – Hattie von Ranson w/Breann Kvernes

VP, Ways & Means – Sarah Farrar w/Jeff Farrar

VP, Communications – Brett Poole

Auditor – Jessica Lindgren

Financial Secretary – Emily Freedman

Historian – Ashley Russell

Parliamentarian – Ashleigh Leal

They are all enthusiastic and I know they will do a wonderful job leading our PTA!

PTA’s initial 2017-18 Budget was approved at the meeting in May.  And, with new officers and a budget, PTA is ready to start the next school year!

A huge thank you to Casey Stratmeyer and Ashleigh Leal and the many volunteers who helped with Teacher Appreciation Week.  It was especially fun to see all of the creative door designs.  I heard that Jessica Lindgren, Theresa Grellman, and Jennifer Hanson went above and beyond taking on several doors and/or working late into Sunday ensuring that all staff had a beautiful door to welcome them on Monday morning.

Although I missed it, I heard the Father-Daughter Dance was a fun time for all!  Thank you to Jena Odiorne and all the volunteers who made it happen!

May is another busy month with the Fun Run on May 17th (thank you Hattie von Ranson!), Golf Tournament on May 19th (thank you Rebecca and Shawn St. Germain!) and Mother-Son Bowling on May 21st (thank you Kathy Kushner and Deanna Cerri!)

Please continue to support our Round Table Dining Out nights.  Round Table, on Center Avenue, donates back 15% of their sales directly to our PTA.  The date for June is Wednesday, 6/7/17.

As I wind down my term as president, I would like to thank all of the outgoing PTA officers for the hard work you have all put in during your term on the PTA Board!  I couldn’t have done it without you!  Casey Stratmeyer, Traci Lavino, and Principal Cannon have particularly been by my side – meeting up every Friday and providing advice and assistance with leading the PTA.  Finally, the entire JSE community has been very supportive.  I am so grateful to all of you!
